Como Volver a mi Mac o PC Multitouch??

Con la nueva Bamboo Multitouch podrán hacer de su computador personal ya sea PC o MAC,  como fuera un Iphone o un Ipod Touch, lo que quiere decir es que podrás arrastrar documentos, girar fotos y hacer el clásico Zoom a dos dedos pero ahora en tu computadora!!(claro no podrás tocar el monitor directamente pero podrás hacerlo indirectamente desde la tableta)

con esta nueva línea de tabletas Bamboo de Wacom, también podrás utilizar la clásica pluma que viene con el paquete, yo tengo una Bamboo Fun la cual utilizo para retoques en photoshop y también para trabajar en Autodesk Maya, y la verdad corre muy bien!

Aunque mi tableta actual y ersta nueva multitouch solo cuentan con 512 niveles de presión, considero que trabajo sin ningún problema, espero que esta nueva modalidad de multitouch este presente en la línea profesional de Wacom, las Intuos!

Si mal no recuerdo los chicos que fundaron esc-studios estuvieron trabajando en manex studios, en manex fueron los encargados de desarrollar secuencias CGI dentro de la primer película de The matrix, John Gaeta era uno de los que trabajo ahí desarrollando la tecnología que el llamo bullet time que impresiono a todos cuando Keanu Revees esquiva las balas en un shot parecido a un super slow motion, como olvidarlo, bueno para no haceles el cuento largo los chicos de ahi no les pagaron como bien ( o por lo menos eso se rumora) por eso se largaron y pusieron su estudio justo enfrente de manes, de ahi su nombre de esc (como la tecla esc de cualquier teclado) ahora son conocidos como escape studios

hoy por hoy escape studios ofrecen servicios de animacion vfx, asi como entrenamiento certificado en renderman y otros softwares de animacion (maya y 3d studio max ect)

este Año escape studios presenta sus ganadores del 2008 cocn el premio que lleva el nombre de dicha compañía

Key players from some of the biggest companies in Visual Effects, Games and Design Visualisation were on hand to rub shoulders, enjoy a few cocktails and admire the stunning view.
However, there was also some serious business to be done as everybody was eager to hear who would take the top spots across the 8 award categories.
Just a glimpse at the list of nominees would tell you that the judges had a rather tough time making their decisions and nobody could’ve predicted who’d be taking home the award circuit’s newest and arguably most stylish trophy.
Congratulations go to all the winners and a big thank you to all those who entered, judged, sponsored and supported the event. We hope you'd agree that for a fledgling Awards last night's success bodes rather well for the future. We can’t wait to see how next year’s event takes shape.

RANGO Nueva pelicula animada totalmente en ILM

Hey se que todos saben que Industual Light and Magic* a contribuido desde las primeras star wars en sus efectos visuales y han trabajado en muchos otros filmes que contengan VFX, pero RANGO sera la primera pelicula TOTALMENTE ANIMADA por ILM esperemos ver el trailer en alguna parte, sera dirigida por Gore Verbinski, y actuara Johnny Depp haciendo la voz del personaje principal.

Paramount is developing a new animated CGI film titled Rango with Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski set to direct. In addition to Verbinski, Johnny Depp is on board to provide the voice of the lead character, described as "a household pet that goes on an adventure to discover its true self." The film is tentatively scheduled for March 2011 and the CGI will be completed at Industrial Light and Magic. The script for Rango was written by John Logan (The Last Samurai, The Aviator, Sweeney Todd) and is based on an idea from Verbinski. While Verbinski is preparing his adaptation of Bioshock, he'll be directing Rango, but as for which we'll see first, I can't yet say, considering this isn't due until 2011.
Considering the third Pirates movie was incredible dark because Disney just let Verbinski do what he wanted, I'm curious whether we'll ever see him go back down that route ever again. Unfortunately I think the concept for this film will be borrowed from Disney's Bolt more than anything. Rango will use cutting-edge animation techniques that "will allow us to capture and translate every aspect of Johnny’s performance, using it to drive the computer-generated character in a way that has yet to be seen in an animated feature," Verbinski said. As far as I know, this is one of ILM's first fully-animated feature films. I'm interested in seeing how it all develops and whether it actually turns out pretty good. Thoughts?

Johnny Depp never forgets his director friends. According to Variety, he's teaming up again with his Pirates of the Caribbean main man, Gore Verbinski, for Paramount's animated feature Rango. The movie will realize the dreams of thousands (nay, millions) of women worldwide as it casts Depp in the role of household pet. He'll go on an adventure to discover his true self -- which, I think, involves discovering he is Johnny Depp, commander of women. Verbinski cooked up the story himself, but gave the writing job to John Logan. He will direct the movie as a nice relaxing break from adapting Bioshock. Some of us do yoga, some of us direct Paramounts "most ambitious star-driven entry into animation."The effects will be handled by ILM, who did such brilliant work on Pirates' Davy Jones. According to Verbinski himself, Rango will be using top-notch CG techniques "that will allow us to capture and translate every aspect of Johnny's performance, using it to drive the computer-generated character in a way that has yet to be seen in an animated feature." This sounds kind of terrifying to me -- Depp's household pet is left unspecified in the article, and I now have a vision of a dog or a turtle with Depp's face. Or they are going the Angelina Jolie / Beowulf route.

Modelado 3D con Millones de poligonos

Este video es un Time Lapse que hice en Zbrush, donde muestro la cantidad de detalle en los modelos 3d que ralizo para televisa deportes, despues estos modelos se les saca un Normal-Map,(que es como un mapa que captura todo el detalle de los relieves esculpidos en Zbrush) y se aplica en el modelo base del personaje es consta de muy pocos poligonos (alrededor de 4 mil) este ultimo modelo se utiliza para ser visualizado en tiempo real, junto con sus mapas de Color, Relieves y de mas detalles (Normal Maps, Occlusion, Caviti Maps, Bump... etc). Para mostrar este personaje en tiempo real se utiliza los equipos que tienen aqui para salir al aire (como VIZRT) chequen aqui el video y otro mas que subi en mi facebook
